Location: North Delhi:
This is one of popular regions of North Delhi. The region mainly encompasses DDA flats – LIG (Lower Income Group), MIG (Middle Income Group). The residential colonies here are accompanied by sprawling parks and adjacent bus stands.

Rohini has been divided into various sectors, each sector having a market of its own. You will find commodities of daily use at these markets. There are some well developed markets as well that are situated here. There are designer show rooms and brand outlets at these markets. Parking facility is also there which makes this place even more convenient.

Being the farthest from actual Delhi city, you will find property rate comparatively less over here. There are few kothis in the region, but then actual posh region yet has to develop. The area is mainly inhabited by Punjabi’s.

The Rohini district centre is the first commercial district in Delhi to be connected by the Metro rail and therefore have good connectivity. This project not only benefited the nearly 9 lakh people already residing in Rohini, but also lakhs of others residing along the Shahdara-Rithala Metro corridor who would now have quick and economical access to this commercial complex through the Metro rail. So all these factors are playing in the development of Rohini as one of the favorite commercial spot of Delhi. There are various malls, complexes and multiplexes which are further working as catalyst in attracting many to reside in this place of Delhi. And many are still under construction. But Metro is certainly the most important factor of all.

Recent Developments in Rohini:

Business Standard reports that Reliance Retail has made purchases of close to Rs 1,000 crore on commercial properties in Delhi. According to sources, the company acquired a property in Vikaspuri from around Rs 280 crore and 7 properties, one in Rohini and 6 in Dwarka, for Rs 700 crore. The total size of the acquisition so far is over 500,000 sq ft. The company will continue its purchasing spree with 2 acquisitions coming up in Vasant Kunj, which are valued at Rs 25 crore. All properties acquired by the company were part of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) auctions.

In post-sealing Delhi, DDA is laughing all the way to the bank. In the latest round of auctions held on 7th of December, DDA sold a plot in Rohini at a record price of Rs 3.20 lakh per square metre. They piled up Rs 637 crore in the Auction.

In Rohini’s twin district centre, a plot of 7,232.81 square meters went for Rs 231 crore as against a reserve price of Rs 87.17 crore. It was bought by Parsvnath Developers. As the permitted built-up area on the plot is around 18,000 sq m, the cost as per built-up area would be around Rs 1.25 lakh per sq m. This translates to around Rs 12,500 per sq feet built-up area. If the cost of construction and marketing is added, a senior builder estimated that end-users will have to pay a whopping Rs 25,000 per sq feet.
