PM Welcomes NRI Investment in India

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said the NRI community in the United States and world over are welcome to invest in the Indian economy.

“NRIs are very welcome to contribute to India’s development through bank deposits, through participation in capital market, both direct and portfolio investment,” Singh said at a press conference held at the conclusion of the G-20 Summit in this city of bridges.

“We welcome participation in processes in economic development of India,” he said.
