Puravankara projects (PPL), a leading property developer in Bangalore is considering joining hands with major local as well as global hotel players to come up with a chain of hotels in South India.
The company will set business hotels in cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Kochi where it is operating currently. Executing the plans will largely depend on factors such as the availability of business opportunities and number of travelers visiting each of these cities. In case, the economies of scale will not allow, the company might set up only one or two hotels.
Puravankara is also looking forward to some of the major cement manufacturers in China, Ukraine, and Pakistan to import cement.
The Centre has permitted to import cement to cater its scarcity in Indian real estate. The company is also trying its hand at implementation of the latest technology for construction. For the same purpose, it has recently imported the Miwan technology from Malaysia. Assisting in using aluminum planes in construction, the technology saves on time.
PPL’s two residential projects in the south involve the use of the Miwan. Also, it boasts of being the only real estate company to be using end-to-end ERP system for its business.
The company is scouting suitable land to develop its upcoming residential and commercial real estate projects in Chennai. It has already identified 43.56 million sq ft of land worth Rs 363 crore.
