GDA Calls Rs 120-Crore Tenders for Infra Projects

Ghaziabad has emerged as the preferred destination for the individuals looking out for quality lifestyle in NCR. Also, it had been described as a “Global City” by a reputed national daily. Encouraged by the same growth, the rates of properties in Ghaziabad have nearly doubled.

Then, there is 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in Delhi, the move which is bound to give a major push to the real estate in Ghaziabad.

In an effort to exhibit good show before the Games bandwagon, the Ghaziabad Development Authority has announced tenders worth Rs 120 crore on May 3.

Now, the authority is primarily targeting at improving the Ghaziabad’s connectivity with the Capital in addition to other infrastructure projects. The main beneficiaries of the projects will be the fast flourishing colonies including Kaushambhi, Vaishali and Indirapuram.

The roads entering from Delhi into Ghaziabad would be developed through modern road-laying techniques. Moreover, they will be widened and strengthened to prevent excessive wear and tear. The central verges will be graced with greenery.

The authority will also be focusing on the development of over-bridges and flyovers at the congested Hyundai showroom crossing on Meerut Road, Dasna rail-crossing in Hapur, Diamond rail-crossing in Kavinagar, and at Thakurdwara intersection.

Outlined below are details of the infrastructure projects for which tenders were announced on May 3.
