The proposed 135-km state of the art “global business corridor” to come along Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway is likely to see a huge demand for residential property from the workforce to be employed by companies on the corridor. Considering the same, the Haryana Housing Board (HHB) says to construct over 2.5 lakh housing units in different parts of the state over the next two years.
The corridor will attract large influx of foreign investment of over Rs 2 lakh crore and generate a large pool of job opportunities. Some Japanese companies are showing large interests to establish their operation centers on the corridor. The later has also attracted some prestigious European companies, informs Shiv Bhatia, Media Advisor to Haryana CM.
The proposed corridor mainly aims at tapping the foreign professionals. Apart from a pack of professionals, the workforce on the corridor will certainly have many expatriates, says SP Gupta, HHB chief administrator.
These to be developed housing units will be economical enough for the workforce. Also, there will be all necessary developments for economically weaker section (EWS), low income group (LIG), middle income group (MIG), and high income group (HIG), adds Gupta.
Stepping up the efforts to prevent migration to other cities, the Board will develop housing projects in all districts of the state. Big villages and towns will be under the major focus.
The State government authorities in big cities will help the Board in land acquisitions for the concerned projects. On the other hand, the Board will approach panchayats for the land in villages.
