The success of Indian real estate sector has more to it than the soaring properties prices across the country. Employing 15 percent educated Indians; the market has displayed the potential to provide jobs to another two million people in the next five years.
Indian realty is such a vast field which has provided job opportunities to people from various other spheres like investment bankers, marketing managers, and visual merchandisers, says Sanyam Dudeja, VP-marketing, TDI Builders.
According to Dudeja, the size of Indian retail market is estimated at Rs 9,300 billion whereas organized retail sector is pegged at Rs 300 billion. Also, it is expected to grow at a rate of 30 percent over the next five years.
Increasing demand for residential as well as commercial real estate projects has created a requirement for large manpower to handle the developments and legwork involved in it.
Real estate industry sector requires professionals who hold knowledge in business, finance, investment and last but not least are good at communication skills, according to the Hari Gautam School of Business and Communication Studies.
And Gautam’s tips for those who want to make career in real estate sector is, just have a formal orientation about this sector.
Most experts feel that a rush for jobs in the sector has broken the widely accepted notion that real estate can provide jobs to people involved in construction or to civil engineers
Real estate boom has paved ways for large employment and career opportunities. Firms are holding regular talks and meetings to inform people about the latest trends emerging in the sector.
