Bharti Realty Appoints New CEO

Bharti Enterprises on Friday announced the appointment of David Rebello as the CEO of its real estate arm Bharti Realty Ltd. Before joining Bharti, Rebello was the Managing Director of DLF Home Developers, a subsidiary of DLF, the country’s largest real estate developer. “David Rebello has been appointed as CEO, Bharti Realty Pvt Ltd, the real estate arm of Bharti group,” the company said in a statement.

Rebello would be responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the group’s realty business. He replaces K.L. Jain who retires at the end of March 2009, the statement said. Bharti Realty has been set up to provide real estate solutions to various group companies of Bharti. Besides Rebello, Bharti Enterprises has appointed Ranjana Smetacek as Head Group Corporate Communications & Brand.

Ranjana would spearhead functions such as Media Relations, CSR Communication, Internal Communication and Brand Communication for Bharti Enterprises. Bharti Enterprises is one of India’s leading business groups with interests in telecom, agri business, financial services, retail and manufacturing.
