Godrej Properties Upcoming Ventures in Bangalore Property Market

Godrej Properties, the real estate arm of the Godrej Group, has recently introduced two property projects worth Rs 850 crore in Bangalore.

The company is expanding its horizons in the Garden city through Godrej Woodsman Estate, a 2.3 million square feet residential project being constructed in phases.  The project will come up on a large area of 15 acres, located about 1 km from Herbal Flyover on the Bellary Road.

The land for the project had been acquired from Amco batteries three years ago.

There are seven towers featuring 16 storeys each, around 840 two and three bedroom apartments in Godrej Woodsman Estate which has been especially designed to render open countryside ambience and splendid settings, says Adi Godrej, chairman, Godrej Group.

The company has no plans to comb through commercial property sector in Bangalore but will initially focus on the residential market. It is occupied in creating a land bank to take up commercial and retail projects thereafter.

Godrej Group will carve out a substantial niche in all major business sectors ranging from customized luxury apartments to the current BPO and information technology wave and the ongoing retail boom. Also, the company envisages offering breakthrough property solutions through commercial and residential properties.

Godrej Properties has 16 years of experience in the entire spectrum of real estate services and enjoys excellent rapport with the suburbs of Mumbai and some merging locations in Pune. The company is now considering to enter the residential, IT Parks and commercial real estate in Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai with a total offering of about 20 million square feet.

As for an upcoming real estate project to be initiated by Godrej Group, the company has announced a series of new launches including development of 1.8 million square feet IT Park in Kolkata to be named as Godrej Waterside and another 1.5 million square feet IT Park titled as Godrej Simco at Salt Lake and a 400,000 square feet retail mall to be known as CESC Godrej Plaza at Park Circus.
