The known Bengal property developer, Ambuja Realty Development Ltd and Bangalore based RMZ Corp has come together to develop an exclusive IT space in 20 acres at Rajarhat in West Bengal.
The project involves the investment of a whopping amount over Rs. 450 crore and is likely to be over by the third quarter of the year 2009. It would be christened “Ecospace” and would accumulate a total resizeable value of Rs 700 crore on its completion, says Harshvardhan Neotia, chairman, Ambuja Realty.
RMZ Group is working on the master plan, concept plan, and its implementation on behalf of Ambuja Reality. The initiative would ensure RMZ’s international clients to look at Kolkata as a potential destination for the development of commercial spaces.
The project would feature 8 state-of-the-art IT towers with 8 floors each. It would also have food courts, an array of infrastructural facilities for the end users like gyms, restaurant, and incubation centre.
Out of the total area, 63 per cent of the land area will be dedicated to scenic surroundings and extensive landscape. The project has also applied for Gloden Green Building rating from US Green Building Council, to be architect under the discerning eye of Singapore based RSP.
The first phase of the project would be rent out to the clients in one and a half years time. RMZ Corp also has plans to take up the construction work of 40 million square feet of space for corporate, residential, retail, and hospitality sectors over the next five years.
