THE Noida Authority today allotted nine companies land for the development of Special Economic Zones. The nine firms have all been allotted 25 acre plots along the Expressways in Sectors 143 and 144.
These SEZs will cater exclusively to the development of IT infrastructure, Noida Authority Deputy Circle Executive Officer (DCEO) C P Singh said. He added that the land has been allotted on a “first come first served” basis.
The Noida Authority had earlier allotted 2,500 acres along the Expressway to a consortium of Reliance One World Limited and the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) in September.
Singh said the Authority had received a number of proposals of which 10 companies were shortlisted after a scrutiny of their turnover and the type of projects handled. The company to miss out after being shortlisted was Ansal Properties and Infrastructures (API) Limited.
The successful allottees are Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) Limited, Hindustan Dorr-Oliver Limited, IVRCL Infrastructures and Project Limited, Unitech Hi-tech Project Private Limited, Logix Techno Park, DLF Commercial Developers Limited, Prakash Industries Limited, Aachman Limited and Century Avenues Private Limited.
Shalini Wadhwa, General Manager (Corporate Communications) at DLF, said: “We are glad to showcase our work in Noida. This is our third big project in Noida.” DLF is coming up with a mall in Noida’s Sector 18.
Shakti Nath, CMD at Logix Techno Park which already has two Software Technology Parks operating in Sectors 16 and 127, said that Noida, with its good infrastructure, was trying to match Bangalore’s level of development.
