Oakwood, one of the most trusted names in temporary housing, has recently made its debut in India with the soft launch of a residence in Pune.
The company currently runs four premium brands under it: premier, residence, apartment, and corporate housing. They are positioned as full service 5-star, 4-star, limited 4-star, and fully furnished flats.
Oakwood enjoys status of being the largest provider of serviced apartments. It is currently managing 20,000 serviced apartments across the globe and envisages carving out a substantial niche in Indian housing market as well.
Maintaining a presence worldwide, Oakwood has plans to open three premier properties in Mumbai by end of this year. Then, it will come up with a residence in Hyderabad, a premier in Pune, and a residence in Bangalore, Gurgaon, and Chennai.
Oakwood has signed contracts for eight properties across the country. It will also look out for more prospects in Kolkata, Goa, and Delhi, says Veronique Sirault, GM, Oakwood Residence Naylor Road.
Service apartments is a new concept taking shape in India and has emerged as excellent substitute to expensive hotel rooms. With a buoyant economy and such an ongoing industrial growth, the concept is certainly going to reach the heights.
