Rich families in Jodhpur will soon share address with the erstwhile royal family of the city which resides in the royal Umaid Bhawan Palace.
This is to be made possible by Mumbai based ESS GEE Real Estate Developers (EGREDPL). The company is planning to develop Rs 1,100 crore ‘Royal Township’ named as Umaid Heritage.
With 410 heritage villas carrying a price tag of around Rs 1.25 crore each, the Township will come over an area of 110 acres. It will be built on the lines of the architecture of Umaid Bhawan Palace.
The land is owned by the former ruler of Jodhpur, Gaj Singh, while the EGREDPL is marketing and developing the project.
Gaj Singh is also involved in other real estate projects such as Majestic Stadii and Ansal Royal Plaza in Jodhpur.
EGREDPL MD Suresh Gandhi says to make Umaid Heritage the most posh locality of the world with more than 400 millionaires of Marwar origin living in the same locality. The allotments are only being offered after evaluating the credentials of the buyers.
The main building of the Township will be made up of sandstone while the boundary walls are to be built using red sand stone - typical of the palace.
